What are Dakmatter’s special ingredients?

Each product is built around bio-active plant compounds, sourced from organic farming and wild-harvested botanicals in the Amazonian and Scandinavian regions. Every ingredient is selected for a clear function: nothing is added without purpose.

All Dakmatter products are free from added perfume, yet naturally aromatic due to their botanical composition. We also avoid traditional preservative systems. Instead, we use a time-honoured botanical preservation approach, supported by Magnolia Bark extract, to keep the products stable while respecting the scalp’s natural ecosystem.

Every certified formula, and the processes behind it, is independently audited by Ecocert once a year. Ecocert is an international, independent certification body operating in 130 countries. In an industry like cosmetics, where words such as natural and organic are often used without evidence, independent certification is a reliable way for you as a customer to check a claim.

COSMOS certification covers more than the ingredients. It also sets requirements for how raw materials are grown or produced, how the certified products are manufactured, and their packaging and labelling.

Our formulas contain no animal-derived ingredients, so they are vegan. On animal testing: EU law does not allow cosmetic products or their ingredients to be tested on animals, and this applies to all cosmetics sold in the EU, including ours.

Do Dakmatter products work for colour-treated hair?

Yes. Dakmatter products are suitable for colour-treated hair.

Our wash and care formulas are designed to cleanse and support the scalp without harsh ingredients that strip or interfere with colour, while helping restore hydration and elasticity to compromised hair.

However, Dakmatter’s more active formulas containing oils and oil resins should not be used on freshly coloured hair. We recommend waiting at least 10 days after colouring before introducing these products, to allow the colour to fully stabilise.
