Surfactants are the cleaning chemicals used in shampoo. They often over-clean and strip away the sebum – your scalps' natural protective lubricant. Your scalp panic and respond by overproducing oil or by totally drying out – especially if you have textured hair. So you use a conditioner. (A product solemly invented to lessen the drying out effect of shampoos). The conditioner creates a scalp build-up where harmful bacteria can grow. The scalp starts to itch and flake, and you feel the urge to wash again. This perfect vicious unbalanced cycle is great for shampoo companies but horrible for you, your hair and your scalp.
Dakmatter is the new generation of hair care. The products never strip the scalp of its oils and are, by default, prebiotic. Prebiotics are essentially foods consumed by probiotics. Probiotics are the good bacteria inside and on the body that keep us balanced and healthy inside and out.

One of the most important parts of rebalancing – especially wearing a curly scalp, is not creating a "scalp desert" again. By default, the majority of our products contain organic certified prebiotic, antioxidative and exfoliating Red Willow Bark Extract, a phyto-medicinal super plant which contains salicin - the natural form of salicylic acid. It is known for its powerful exfoliating, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties as well as high concentrations of tannins, flavonoids, phenolic acids and minerals that help calm the scalp and aid in cell regeneration.

SLIP WASH is a ultra-mild but very efficient soft cleanser with strong moisturizing and hydrating properties. Contain prebiotic, antioxidative and exfoliating Red Willow Bark Extract, a photo-medicinal plant known for its powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
We added a natural creamy humectant foam and a strong ”conditioning slip effect” for those dry and fragile kinks and coils to be handled and detangled while restoring and self-balancing the scalps microbiota. No need for conditioners as this formula clean and condition at the same time. For all hair types.
HOW TO: Pump the Slip Wash into your palm. It is highly concentrated so a little goes along way. Massage into wet scalp. Make sure to massage "between" shafts without rubbing or using your nails. It should take about 2-3 minutes to do the entire scalp. Leave in for 10 minutes or follow your health practitioner's or scalp expert's advice. Comb if possible. Rinse. Dry gently.
Dreads: Leave to soak for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Repeat if necessary.

HOW TO: Spread the Hydro Mask even from top to end in wet hair. Detangle. The formulas are highly concentrated. A little goes a long way, so be sure to add the right amount of water to increase slip and spreadability. Wait for 20 minutes or leave overnight. Rinse in warm water. Comb if possible. Tip: If your hair is dry and needs extra protection, rinse in cold water. Dry gently.
